Best of the Weekend

Welcome to Best of the Weekend!  We are glad that you are here and are starting your weekend with us.

Normally I would be very sad this weekend because it would be the last weekend before school starts.  It’s still the last weekend before school starts, but for the first time in 27 years, I won’t be going back to school.  I’ve decided to leave the classroom and focus my energy on my health.  It’s going to be a strange feeling on Monday morning to know that all of my teacher friends are sitting in the first faculty meeting of the year and I won’t be there.  Don’t worry, I’m sure I will get over not being at a faculty meeting pretty quickly.
Amy, Ginnie, Cindy, and I enjoy hosting the Best of the Weekend Party each Friday night at 8pm.

If you don’t already follow us in some way, we’d love for you to do so.

Somewhat Simple shared her adorable Back-to-School Candy Gram.  I would have loved it if a thoughtful child left this on my desk the first week of school.

I look forward to what is shared this week!

  1. Good for you, Paula. Teaching is VERY stressful and focusing on your health is much more important! After 28 years, I retired. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. Yes, there are still things that I miss, but then I remind myself of all the things I don’t miss…you know what I mean. 😉
    Take care of yourself!

    1. 28 years of teaching is a long career, Ann. I had hoped to make it to 30 years but I know my decision is right for what is going on in my life. Thanks so much for commenting and participating in the party.
