Best of the Weekend

Welcome to Best of the Weekend!  We are glad that you are here and are starting your weekend with us.

I have been having a terrible time with my back and have been pretty much side lined since July 6.  I love being active and the problems that I’m having are driving me nuts.  If you care to send me some good vibes or a healing prayer, I sure would appreciate it.
Amy, Ginnie, Cindy, and I enjoy hosting the Best of the Weekend Party each Friday night at 8pm.

What I Shared This Week

I had a busy blog week and posted three times.  I shared the Vintage Virginia Tech Memorabilia display that I put together using things that belonged to my dad for my family room.

I also shared how I cleaned the vintage Virginia Tech cross stitch from the 1980’s that I used in my Virginia Tech vignette.  Cleaning this cross stitch wasn’t difficult, so if you run across one in a thrift shop that you like, buy it!

And finally, the Power Tool Challenge Team shared projects made using an unconventional material.  I chose to use pipes to make a DIY Industrial Pipe Bookshelf.

  1. You are on my prayer list for complete recovery, quick healing, relief from back pain. I enjoy so much being on your email list, great ideas, getting to know your family. (I’m a dog lover, too, plus I come from a family of teachers!) Keep up the great work. Many blessings, Mimi

  2. LOVE the pipe book shelf! I’m sorry you’re having trouble with your back. I’m sending healing prayers your way, Paula. BTW my husband is in that field….fixing compression fractures and other back issues.

    (((hugs))),
