Christmas Mantle – 2011

This year’s mantle started with making a big boxwood wreath.  I wanted something that would really fill the space over our fireplace.  Simple brass candlesticks with red candles, tea lights, and greenery finished the traditional Christmas look that I wanted for this year.Mantel3

Red, green, and gold are my favorite Christmas colors.

This view is taken from the dining room.  The crystal Swarovski ornaments on the white tree are an annual gift from Mr. SP, started our first Christmas in 1993.

The tea lights add a pleasant glow at night.

I get so much pleasure out of our Christmas decorations.  A fire in the fireplace would be the perfect finishing touch for this room.

  1. So pretty! I LOVE your boxwood wreath! Traditional red and green colors are my favorite too. So classic.

  2. Your mantel is beautiful! I love your large wreath. Simple and elegant! Stopping by from Home Stories A to Z.

  3. Your mantle is so pretty Paula! I’ve always wanted a large boxwood wreath, but the ones I find are just too expensive so I haven’t gotten one. I too love, red, green & gold!!!
