Easter Cloche

Marty from A Stroll Thru Life is hosting a cloche party as a part of an Egg-xellent Spring Party and I thought it would be fun to participate.

I’ve had most of my Easter decorations out for a few weeks now because I love them and want to enjoy them as long as possible before the big day (which is also Mr. SP’s birthday).

The postcard is postmarked 1909 and was sent to my great aunt.

The cloche is in my formal living room in between two vintage Easter pieces and two modern bunnies.  I love these bunnies and look forward to using them each spring for decorating.

Mr. SP made the holder for the large egg that I found years ago in an antique shop.  The small egg holder was my grandmother’s.  The hard boiled egg is at least five years old and I use it every year!

Thanks for visiting.  I’m looking forward to sharing more of my Easter decorations next week.

  4. Well Sweet Pea, this is a SWEET setting for Easter. Love it all!

I have a couple of glass eggs like your egg. They were my great aunt’s and I inherited them from my mother. They were always displayed in a bed of purple Easter grass.

  5. Your little chick cloche is so sweet. I love the card that belonged to your great aunt. It’s so nice to have things like the egg cup,too that have special meaning in a vignette.
