Five Delicious Soups for Fall

Five Delicious Soups for Fall by virginiasweetpea.com

Fall means it is soup time at my house. I love to make a pot or two of soup on Sunday to enjoy for dinner all through the week. Today I’m sharing five of my favorite soup recipes that I’ve made time and time again.

Country Captain includes both chicken and sausage and makes a huge pot which is a plus in my book.  If you get tired of leftovers, you could freeze part of this for meals over the winter.

I first had Fiesta Chowder at my cousin’s house for a bridal shower and have made it many, many times since. This chicken concoction has a slight kick.

Corn, sausage, onion, potato, and evaporated milk combine to make delicious Corn Chowder with Sausage.  A pot of this soup barely lasts a night at my house.  We love it!

Beef Stew is a hearty fall meal for any home. This recipe starts on top of the stove and finishes in the oven.

I make Turkey Noodle Soup every year after Thanksgiving.  This recipe also works perfectly with chicken.  I have made the chicken version twice this month!

  1. I love soup in the winter. Your’s sound wonderful. I’m going to try out that corn chowder one very soon. One of my favorite soups is a simple creamy potato soup. I also make this soup with chicken and veggies, but it’s not on my blog. Maybe I will have to add it sometime. That’s a good one to freeze too. Here is the link to the potato soup, in case you need a recipe to it. http://www.fearlesslycreativemammas.com/2013/10/creamy-potato-soup.html
