A Great Saturday

Today was full of activity. This morning I ran with my running buddy and then went to a tennis clinic. After the tennis clinic, Mr. SP and I played 3 sets of singles. He beat the pants off of me, but it was good practice.

In the afternoon, I went to a show in a local home where they had art, jewelry, and pottery for sale. I mostly enjoyed looking at the gorgeous home, but I did come away with a really cute pair of earrings. Plant shopping was next on the agenda. I finally found a Double File Vibernum. I’ve been looking for one for a few weeks now. Mr. SP planted it for me. I also bought some more annuals and got those planted.
(These Double File Vibernum pictures are from Flickr.)

I went to the mall in the evening. The mall was full of girls decked out in their prom dresses. It was kind of sad. Don’t they have anywhere better to go than to the mall? The only reason that I went to the mall was for a Mother’s Day gift. This is one of Mama’s all time favorites and I know she’s going to enjoy it. Mama has worn Shalimar forever. I like it, too.

Tomorrow my goal is to get my vegetable garden planted. My running buddy is bringing me tomato and pepper plants. I’ll plant seeds for cucumbers, beans, zucchini, and yellow squash. I can’t wait to get my garden going!

  1. …maybe the girls were there to visit a nail shop or hair salon? I dunno…that seems so strange to me…

I wish you had asked one of them, lol

  2. It’s an old redneck tradition to go to the mall in your prom attire. I remember people doing it when I was in high school! (Not me!)
