Happy 2011!

Happy New Year!  Did you have a fun time last night ringing in the new year?

Honestly, I don’t really enjoy New Year’s Eve celebrations, mostly because I dislike staying up late.  I do enjoy dressing up, so celebrate we did by attending a dinner/dance at our club.

Before we left we took a few “prom pictures.”  I bought my dress on vacation in Vermont.  I hope I’ll have another occasion for wearing it soon.

Our club looked really pretty.  I think Mr. SP and I were probably the youngest couple there.

I loved the centerpieces.  A local gal who is trying to get a party planning business started did them for free.

The buffet dinner was really good.

This self portrait was taken just before midnight.   I had a hard time staying awake but got a second wind around 11:15.  IMG_5366

Here’s to a great 2011!!

  1. You look gorgeous!!! Love that dress. How fun to be able to get all dolled up and go out like that. We stayed home and watched a movie with my sister. Not exactly exciting, but I was beat by midnight.

    Happy New Year! 🙂
