Iris
The Iris are in full bloom around here! I just wish that they would last a little longer. I love them!
I love this light purple one. I think that it came from a friend at school’s house by way of Giles County, VA. You’ve got to love good old southern pass-along plants.
This one was my dad’s favorite. It is a deep purple. The picture makes it look a little lighter than it really is.
You can see the difference in the shades of purple in this photo.
My mom’s favorite is the pale purple iris… we just love that sweet smell! Hers haven’t bloomed for the past two years and we’ve been told they sometimes take a couple of years?? Any advice?
