Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treat Pralines

Early this summer, Kevin and Amanda posted a recipe for Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treat Pralines that I thought looked to good not to try.  I bought the ingredients the next day, printed the recipe, and almost three months later finally tried this yummy treat for myself.

Traditional Pralines contain nuts and don’t contain either peanut butter or breakfast cereal, but I like this version because I’m not a big fan of nuts in a dessert.

This recipe is incredibly easy, takes just a few ingredients, and is very tasty.  PBRKP1

I found that these are best enjoyed within a day or two after they are made.  I made them on Sunday and by Tuesday evening the Rice Krispies were no longer crisp.  (Not that it stopped us from continuing to eat them!)

Do you like nuts in a dessert?  Pecan Pie or Peanut Brittle need nuts but if it’s a cookie, no nuts for me!

  1. I printed this out from Kevin and Amanda too and thought they looked yummy. Thanks for the reminder that I need to try them soon 🙂

  2. I’m passing through some of the blogs and thought id stop and say hello. And i hope that you folks have a very nice fall weekend. Richard from the Amish community of Lebanon Pennsylvania.

  3. I actually only like two nuts in baked goods. One is walnuts, love them in pumpkin bread! And the other is macadamia nuts, which I love in white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. But I do love the flavor of Pralines, these look delicious. Just as soon as it cools down here in my neck of the woods I’m going to try them.

  4. Those look so yummy, Paula! I do like nuts in cookies, quick breads, etc., but nobody else in my family does, so I rarely get any.
