A Tale of Two Driveways

Are you sick of hearing about my driveway project?  Let’s just say that I am more than ready to have my yard back to normal and to have things looking nice around her once again.  Living in a construction zone for almost four months has not been easy.

It’s not often that a couple gets two driveways in one year, but that’s what has happened to us.

Driveway One is at the lake.  That was the easy one.  It’s amazing what a little gravel can do to enhance the feel of a piece of property.  Mr. SP and I are convinced that the previous owner of our property could have gotten a lot higher of a price had they put in a decent driveway.

The next two shots were taken from very near the lake shore looking up the driveway.  You can see the same trees in both pictures.

If only the driveway project at our home had been this easy.  I’ll be back with another post on that project.  We are on the home stretch with that one!

  2. It really does make a difference!! The drive is so much more defined now. It looks great! 🙂

  3. You are so lucky to have a lake retreat. And at this time of the year, even your driveway looks beautiful and serene.
Why do projects take two to three times longer than expected? And why do they have to cost well beyond the projected cost?

  4. Amazing what some little rocks can do. You’re right- people do not understand the importance of “staging”!
