Vintage Fenton Rabbits

My first week of summer vacation was wonderful.  I had one of those weeks where I worked and worked around the house but didn’t have much to share that seemed blog worthy.  I’ve completed a few yard projects that I’ll share later this week.  It’s been pure pleasure to work for myself!

My friend recently moved and had several Fenton Art Glass rabbits that were collected by her grandmother in her yard sale pile.  She decided to give them to me since I decorate for Easter and she knew I’d love them.  Wasn’t that nice?

Fenton Art Glass started in 1905 in Williamstown, West Virginia.  My grandmother also had a few Fenton pieces that I inherited.

Pink Fenton Rabbit

A sweet white rabbit is adorned with hand-painted orange roses.  I found a similar one on ebay for $30 but I couldn’t say that this one is worth that much as the prices range from $5 and up.

I’ll forget all about these and be surprised when I pull them out next Easter when I’m sure I’ll find the perfect spot for them.

  1. These are just precious!!! I didn’t know Fenton made rabbit figurines. They’ll be so pretty in your Easter vignettes! 🙂

  2. Hi Paula! Oh, these are darling. I don’t think I’d wait til Easter. You could use rabbits anytime!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia 😉

  3. When I visited the Fenton factory some years ago, I found a “second” pink rabbit that was signed by David Wright. That’s my son’s name! So I had to buy it. I have no idea why it was on the discount table. So sad that Fenton has disappeared. They tried to reorganize and make a go of it after 2000, but just couldn’t do it. They sold off all equipment and assets this spring. A “Made in America” that’s gone forever.

  4. What adorable bunnies! Bunnies are serial to me because they are one of my sorority’s symbols 😀

  5. What a great gift, Paula! Your friend was smart to give these to you–you’ll make great use of them! Won’t it be fun to pull them out next spring?
