Vintage Fresca Bottle Holder Arrangement

A late summer centerpiece was needed for my kitchen table, so I shopped my house to find something unique to use.  I found a Fresca bottle holder in my basement in the area where I  store flower vases and thought it would make a great centerpiece.  My grandmother used this to carry extra flowers to competitions and to church to refresh her arrangements.  Four of the bottles are tiny milk bottles, probably from a school, and the other four are Coke bottles.

The turquoise color is trendy and I’m always a sucker for anything vintage.

I found two napkins in a vintage print that I’d never used that pieced together make a make-do table runner.  I’m not sure if I bought them long ago or if they might have been a wedding shower present.  I love their cheerful pattern.

I have a few things blooming in my yard right now, but not enough for an arrangement, so pods from a Crepe Myrtle and flowers from an ornament grass fill the bottles.

I really like this vintage look and think that it’s perfect for late summer.

It’s fun to shop your house and put together a fun vignette with forgotten items.  Do you every do that?

  1. This is really pretty – the color is great and I love the late summer greenery you found to fill the vases 🙂

  2. What!? You just had that in your basement? I’m a huge Fresca fan and have never seen such a thing. So cool. That would be so perfect in my retro kitchen. I’m going to have to go hunting the internet now and see if there are any more of those out there. I love what you did with yours. It makes a great floral display piece!
