Scrapbook Paper Eggs

Easter is one of my favorite holidays for decorating.  I like having a seasonal centerpiece for my kitchen table and the scrapbook paper covered eggs that I created work beautifully.

Making these is super easy!
Directions:
Assemble supplies: scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, foam brush, scissors, measuring tape, and eggs.

I used paper mache eggs but plastic or hard-boiled eggs would work, too.

Measure the length and circumference of the egg and cut paper slightly larger.  I cut mine 3” x 6”.

Fold paper in half and make cuts stopping about 1/4” before the fold.

Coat the paper with Mod Podge (not shown) and use the tabs the cuts created to wrap around the egg.  Smooth with your fingers as you go.

My eggs make a pretty Easter centerpiece in a ceramic woven white basket that I’ve had for years.  My mother-in-law made the quilted runner for me for my birthday the year that she died.  She did beautiful work and I treasure the things that she made for me over the years.

I love that I’ll be able to use these eggs from year-to-year.

Decorating eggs is something I enjoy doing just about every year!  Have you decorated eggs this year?
