2011 Christmas Curb Appeal

Last year I made a Pottery Barn knock-off lighted garland and wanted to use it again this year.  It looks pretty both day and night.

For this year, I decided to update our wreaths from having just a simple bow to being adorned with red, silver, and gold balls.

I like the pop of color that the ball adorned wreaths gives each window.

The garland looks so pretty framing our door.  Magnolia from our yard fills the urns.

Instead of using the monogram wreath that I’ve used the past few years, I made a traditional wreath using greens gathered from our yard.  You can’t go wrong with a green wreath with a red bow at Christmas.

The glow from the lighted garland and candles in our windows is most pleasant.Outside6

Coming home to this is pure pleasure!

I hope our neighbors are enjoying our house this Christmas as much as we are.

  6. There’s no doubt your neighbors are enjoying your decorated house. I always like that my neighbors get into the spirit with lights and garland and animated deer, etc. Your front door wreath is all the more special since it’s made from plants in your yard. I think when I start redoing my back yard, I’m going to plant bushes and trees that I can use for wreaths and such. Thanks for the inspiration!
