Can you believe that I’m already thinking about Thanksgiving? In just 24 days it will be here! Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. I love being with family, love the decor, and of course, love the food!
Although we won’t actually enjoy Thanksgiving at our home, I’ve made a centerpiece to celebrate November, the season of Thanksgiving.
My Thanksgiving centerpiece features a vintage pilgrim candle holder that I found at Blue Sky Cottage where I have a booth. I first saw this piece in early September and finally caved and purchased in in October. No regrets on that purchase, I love it.
All of the elements that I used to decorate my table were found on a walk with my dog. By the time I arrived home, my arms were loaded with berries, bark, and foliage.
Isn’t the beauty of nature incredible? I love the colors and texture of the items that I found.
The back side of the pilgrims is just as pretty as the front. I love how they are holding hands!
Bittersweet, bark, and the bloom of some unidentified tree flank either side of the pilgrims.
I picked out my wedding china when I was in high school. It was love at first sight when I saw Lenox Autumn in the china section at Leggett Department Store. A shopping trip when I was in high school included both clothes shopping and a trip to the china department. My mom and I love dishes!
My wedding silver isn’t real silver. I chose Golden Ribbon Edge, a stainless pattern by Gorham.
My granddad had the pie safe made using cherry harvested from his family farm. Some of my vintage turkeys are displayed on top along with a filled cornucopia.
I can’t remember a Thanksgiving without an elegantly set table that included a beautiful centerpiece. My grandmother was a Garden Club member and her centerpieces were something else. My mom followed in her footsteps and creates a beautiful table each year.
My mom will host Thanksgiving this year and we both are really looking forward to it because my niece and her mom will join us. They haven’t been able to do so for several years and it will be great to spend the day with them.
Next year we just may have Thanksgiving at the lake. It might be fun to start a new tradition.
I’d love for you to pin my centerpiece for others to enjoy!
I’m sharing my table along with 18 other bloggers. I’m excited to see how others decorate their table for Thanksgiving. Scroll down and you’ll find the links to the other 18 tables to enjoy!
