More Forgotten Projects

I recently posted about making something and then forgetting all about it.  I thought I’d share a few more things that I made from Amy Butler’s In Stitches book back in 2007.

I love these place mats but rarely used them because Mr. SP and I eat on the sofa while we watch TV.  Isn’t that a terrible habit?  These pretty place mats have only been used a time or two so when we have had company.  I made a set of six.  Wouldn’t a set be a great gift?

I also made lounge pants.  If I remember correctly, these were SO easy to make.  I know that I haven’t worn them for two years.  Why??  I’m definitely going to be lounging in the fall of 2010 in these comfortable pants.
I pulled out my Amy Butler book and found a project that I’d really like to try.  Look for the round, ruffled pillow on the cover of Amy’s book shown below.  Isn’t it cute?  I doubt that I get to make it any time soon, but it is definitely on my list of things I’d like to make.
If only I got paid to sew!

  1. Pretty fabric for those placemats, and I love the lounge pants!! You should definitely try the pillow…it would be so pretty!

  2. I can see those place-matts in red & greens for christmas – would make a super cute gift for someone.

that pillow is cute but i love those pants! – i can just see comfort exploding out from all over them. makes me want to snuggle on the couch.

  3. Hi Paula! Cute lounge pants…and I love those place mats! I hope you are having a great week!…hugs…Debbie

  4. Love those lounge pants! Soo cute! Cute jammie bottoms are like my favorite thing EVER! My poor neighbors probably hate that about me! HA! Cute placemats too. Love the paisley! That pillow is precious! You should totally make that. LOOOOOOVE AMY BUTLER!

  5. Totally cute placemats, but it’s the lounge pants I love! So cute and comfy looking! I want about 4 pair! Wish I could sew!
