Rhode Island Weekend – Part One

Greetings from Newport!  Mr. SP and I are enjoying a long weekend in first Newport and then in Boston.  We arrived on Thursday.  We’re staying at Hotel Viking, a beautiful hotel that is close to everything that we want to do:  harbour, Cliff Walk, mansions, and the Tennis Hall of Fame.
We arrived Thursday afternoon and spent the afternoon walking around the harbour, admiring the beauty of the water, landscape, and beautiful sailboats.  That evening we went for a tour on The Adirondack.

We drove across this bridge when we entered Newport.

Wouldn’t it be fun to stay in this house built on a rock?  It is accessible only by boat.

We could see several mansions from the water while sailing.

After the boat ride we had dinner at a restaurant recommended by a friend.  Mr. SP had lobster.  Isn’t he cute in his bib?

Don’t miss what we did on day two of our Rhode Island trip.
