Christmas Inspiration

My mother and I always go shopping on “Black Friday”, but not where many others shop. Our first stop is always Buffalo Springs Herb Farm in Raphine, VA.

They have gorgeous things for sale and their displays always inspire Mama and I to go home and start decorating.

This year I bought two wreaths and a bottle brush tree. I’ll post photos of those later. I wanted to share a few photos from the farm.

I’ve got to make a trip during the summer to see these!

The Barn Where the Shop is Located

Herbs and flowers drying in the rafters.

On the barn doors – I love these!

Hanging on Outbuildings

This wreath was hanging on an outbuilding on a nearby farm. I couldn’t resist stopping to take a picture.

If you are ever traveling through Virginia on Interstate 81, Buffalo Springs Herb Farm is located a few miles off of the Raphine exit. It is well worth a stop. Wade’s Mill is also located on the property. They sell cornmeal, etc. that they mill in the building. The building also has a kitchen shop.

  1. Beautiful! One more reason I want to move to VA. Have I ever mention I love VA and would love to move there? Hubby and dd won’t hear of it. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pics.

  2. I’m a first time visitor to your blog, just cruising around, and the herb farm sounded interesting. I looked up their website and, Big Surprise, they have permanently closed! What a shame.
