Winter Ornaments

Today I’m enjoying my last day of winter break.  The Christmas decorations are packed away for the season except for things that look “wintery.” Many of my P. Buckley Moss ornaments look like winter and even though they are tree decorations, they are pretty to display this time of year.

I made a very simple display on a chest in my living room.  This is a good spot where I can enjoy them daily.

If you aren’t familiar with P. Buckley Moss, she lives in Waynesboro, VA, and the scenes depicted are from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

These peaceful snowy scenes say “It’s January!” to me.  I like January as the rush of the busy holiday season is over and life slows down a bit.  There’s no shopping to do, no yard work to worrry about, and best of all, there are snow days for which to hope!  What about you?  Do you like January?

  1. Hi Paula! Oh, your ornaments are so pretty and they do look wonderful on your buffet! I’ve seen her paintings before and love her style. Your bird pictures on the wall are pretty too. Happy New Year to you and I’m looking forward to another year of blogging with you.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia 😉

  2. Well y’all know how I feel about P Buckley Moss! Your ornament collection is wonderful Paula and thinking about Pat’s talent and home in Virginia brings back a great memory. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I love January too, the older I get, I don’t know why. I’m so envious of your winter scene ornaments. Where did you get them? I’m tempted to paint some of my own. Happy January!

  4. I love those ornaments! The one in front of the church is my favorite! The chest they are on top of is GORGEOUS!!!!

I like January too. My birthday, which I’d like to forget, is in January, but means I get at least one date this month. YAY! Snow, if we get any, usually comes in January. I love the slow pace in January. Although, I do hate the dieting in January.;)

  5. I love that chest, and your display is perfect for the winter. Love those bird prints, too. Very pretty! I’m so glad to have everything put away—finally!

  6. I LOVE those ornaments! I have to admit though, we got robbed of a white Christmas, and now that Christmas is over, I have no use for the white stuff. January is wonderful at the beginning for me, full of ambition for the new year…but by the end of January, I’m usually feeling ready for Spring to get here!!

  7. I LOVE those!! What a talented lady she is. They look so pretty the way you have them displayed.

    I like January too!

  8. Ok, I must live under a rock, I’ve never seen these before, but they are stunning. Such a lovely collection and you have them displayed beautifully. I really love them. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  9. I’m not familiar with these ornaments, but they are very pretty! And perfect to enjoy all through the Wintery months!
