Traditional Flocked Christmas Tree with Swarovski Snowflake Ornaments

My husband has given me a Swarovski snowflake ornament every year since 1994 and I love hanging them on our Christmas tree.

After Christmas, I hang them on a wood tree that we made (see it here) and enjoy them through March.

Last year was my first year with this flocked tree and I decorated it with a winter wonderland theme.

This year I used red plaid ribbon, red berries, Swarokski snowflakes, and plastic snowflakes to decorate my tree.

When Mr. SP first started giving me Swarovski snowflake ornaments in 1994, the ribbon color was blue.

At some point, the ribbon color changed to white.

The 2021 ornament brings another change. Isn’t this gorgeous?

Our mantel wreath and garland are decorated to coordinate with the tree. They all look so pretty at night.

  7. I LOVE your tree, Paula… it looks just lovely! Two questions… On this year’s ornament, did they only change the charm, or is the ribbon changed, too? It makes sense they would change to white, so it will coordinate with everything. Also, where did you get your tree, and what type is it (i.e., noble fir or ?)

    1. I feel great! I had chemo on Wednesday and the only side effect I have is fatigue. I slept 11 hours last night. I’m now doing a brand new clinical trial in Fairfax, VA that will start the week of January 3. I’m in the very first group which is very exciting.
